"Imagine wearing a scratchy hand-knit sweater and playing flat out rock 'n' roll music in a stuffy, dilapidated English country cottage...
That's what it's like to be a Silver Line."
The Silver Lines, a band made up of a pair of brothers; Joe and Dan Ravenscroft and, another Joe on bass and Kindo on drums. The band have built success off a series of energetic, indie-punk singles that undeniably have built up an 'on repeat' discography. The Birmingham musicians have had their tracks spun on stations like BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, Radio X, and even having a punch at America performing at The New Colossus Festival in New York. Most recently, the band opened for The Buzzcocks and is set to play many UK based festivals soon.

Due to the bands mindset to push back the possibility of being perceived as "just another all-white, male indie band that sings about working class upbringings and teenage love". They were set out with new EP, SLEAZE to craft a sound that both defies the genre and their peers within it. What SLEAZE is a result of a riveting collection of short stories that takes the listener on a "self-aware journey of S&M, night sweats, substance abuse, and sodomy".
With starting off the EP, with the spirit to rebel against the traditional 'indie music' sound, The Silver Lines weave a "sonic tapestry of rhythmic hooks, lyrics that candidly chronicle the underbelly of the mind, top it off with dashes of funk and disco, and infuse it with the kind of classic rock ‘n’ roll energy that seems to have increasingly vanished with each passing decade".
Now, you maybe thinking how does a band fit all of that in to the one EP? Well, this is The Silver Lines, and each track telling a unique story, with a unique: sound, style and feel, that 'repeat' button is irresistible.
Upon expanding their sound, and growing on what makes them stand out from others in the industry. The band is paving their own way by sounding like themselves, not by trying on another band’s sound for size, and are cementing their status as innovators as a result.
With The Silver Lines around, it’s safe to say that the current landscape of guitar music is in good hands indeed!
