If you haven't heard of The Lucettas they are a DIY Essex band based in Chelmsford and they have a brand new single called 'Cyracos' out now!
The Lucettas' third single 'Cyracos' is apart of a 12 track album set to release by the end of the summer, which the band have just finished recording. The single is full of energy, with an intense guitar solo at the end. It depicts a tale of somebody seeking inebriation in an attempt to escape their romantic reality.
Now, if you left thinking what is 'Cyracos'? "It is essentially a made up word!"
The story behind the name of the song was told to us by, "George, our bass player liked the word Sirocco, which means a strong Mediterranean wind. So, he asked Tommy, who is our lead singer and song writer to try and incorporate Sirocco into the lyrics, however when Tommy went to write the lyrics, it felt more natural and free flowing to say 'Cyracos', it worked, so we stuck with it!"
The band are not quite sure what Cyracos means but thats what makes music fun, right?! Yet, in some way the structure of the song makes you think Cyracos is a meaning for escapism.
