The Arctic Monkeys are back, yes if you have been living under a rock for the last two weeks, you did read that correct! After three years, the Sheffield performers return with their first show in Istanbul. The audience were already bouncing after being prepared by the Arctic Monkeys' support act Inhaler!

Arctic Monkeys' next album 'The Car' is set to be released 21st October this year. For their first show, it left the band without any new singles they wanted to debut, so the 21-song long setlist remained with the best of the best! One of the 21 songs included 'Potion Approaching' which the band have not played live since August 2011, so that was a definite shock to the fans!

However, another shocker was added to the set list at their Switzerland show on August 23rd, when the Arctic Monkeys debuted new song off their seventh studio album "I Ain't Quite Where I Think I Am".

The new album "The Car" will feature 10 new songs; "There'd Better Be A Mirrorball", "I Ain't Quite Where I Think I Am", "Sculptures Of Anything Goes", "Jet Skis On The Moat", "Body Paint", "The Car", "Big Ideas", "Hello You", "Mr Schwartz" and "Perfect Sense". Fans can understand that 'The Car' may not follow on from the direction of the last album 'Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino' as Alex Turner saids "Sci-fi is off the table. We are back to earth."

At the first show of their 2022-23 tour, they opened the set with the classic 'Do I Wanna Know?'. This tune then was followed by many tracks from, their 2013 album masterpiece, 'AM' including; Snap Out Of It, Why D'You Only Call Me When You're High?, Arabella, Fireside and One For The Road.

After, the fans waiting many years to see the rockers live the show finished with an encore, which was definitely one for the books; Cornerstone, I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor and R U Mine?.

Now, when our feeds were flooded with photos and videos from this first show we were all left to think; "when can I see the Arctic Monkeys live next?!" Now with no UK tour dates published, apart from the band headlining Reading and Leeds, it is still unclear when they will be playing any other UK shows. You can see the many dates and festivals the 'Suck It and See' musicians are playing on their website.

We, as well as all the rest of the Arctic Monkeys' fans will be keeping our fingers crossed for hopefully some tickets to see Alex Turner and Co on their home turf soon! Until then we shall sit not so patiently waiting for the 21st October to come around. Yet, at the moment there is everything you need to know about the High Green singers come back!
